2009 Games
The 2009 Balfour Beatty London Youth Games were an enormous success. Almost 50,000 young Londoners from all 33 London boroughs participated in 60 competitions across 30 sports, enjoying the unique and inspirational multi-sport environment that only the London Youth Games delivers.
The competitive season began with the Indoor Cricket Cup Finals in the plush surroundings of Lord's Cricket Ground in March and came to a thrilling climax at the iconic National Sports Centre, Crystal Palace in July.
The overall victorious borough team were Havering (pictured above), who collected the prestigious Jubilee Trophy for the 10th time in their history. The run-down of trophy winners is as follows:
