GamesForce Teams offers London Schools/Colleges & groups the opportunity to volunteer at the London Youth Games, part of the School Games.  Team opportunities consist of 6 young people aged 14+ in a group and a responsible adult/teacher.

Last year, over 80 teams from across London volunteered in a variety of roles, such as physical activity leaders, event coordination assistants and ceremonies coordinators.  GamesForce Teams offers schools a wonderful opportunity to get involved with the volunteer arm of the London Youth Games, learn new skills and have fun! 

Follow the steps below to put your team forward for selection!

Step 1: What is required:

There are 2 pre-requisites to young people volunteering. 

  1. The young people within the team must have completed or be working towards one of the following awards: the GamesForce Events Award, Sports Leaders Award (Level 1 or Level 2 in Sports Volunteering or Sports Leadership) or the appropriate NGB qualification/award as detailed below.
  2. The young people within the team should have experience of volunteering at a Level 2 School Games event or equivalent.
  • Applications for officiating roles require confirmation of teams' qualifications/awards in the applicable sport as detailed below.

Step 2: How to get involved 

The deadlines for the responsible adult/teacher to register the GamesForce Team for our new event calendar will go live in December 2015.  Applications will open 1 month prior to the closing date.

Reminder: The responsible adult/teacher will need to confirm in the application that the GamesForce team has completed or is in the process of completing Step 1 (stated above) in order to register their interest.
