LYG Shake it Out!

Level 1:

Schools have the opportunity to perform as 'an opening act' at their intra school events happening across the borough.

Level 2:

Schools and competition host sites can introduce 'an opening act' or performance group to perform at their inter school event.

Schools participating in or competing in local dance/music/drama festivals have the opportunity to perform at the London Youth Games events by completing a simple application process.

HOW IT WORKS

Think your act has what it takes? The way only way in, is to enter! 

STEP BY STEP

Step 1 - interested schools are required to send an application form and link to a youtube video to nicky@londonyouthgames.org  by Friday 24 May. Information and the application form is available to download on the right hand side of this webpage.

Step 2 – the LYG Cultural Group will meet to shortlist all the entries to the Top 10 w/c 3 June.

Step 3 – short listed entries (Top 10) will then go to a public vote (LYG Facebook or youtube page, TBC), London's favourite will perform at the Opening Ceremony in front of 2,000 spectators on Thursday 4 July, the winning act will also receive an offical winner's framed certificate

Step 4 – all the Top 10 shortlisted acts will be invited to perform at the London Youth Games throughout the day on Thursday 4 July

DEADLINES

Applications together with the link to the video must be submitted to nicky@londonyouthgames.org by midnight on 24 May.

Short listed acts will open to public vote on the 10th June and close on the 14th June.
