Child Protection and Welfare

The welfare of the young people taking part in the London Youth Games is our top priority.  We have developed a detailed policy and set of procedures to help everyone involved in the Games support us in ensuring the welfare of young people.

If you have been made aware of a potential problem, outside of the Games, please refer this to your organisation's welfare officer.  If there is a problem during one of our Events, please contact the Event Welfare Officer or your Borough Welfare Officer.  Any member of Event Staff will be able to find the Event Welfare Officer. 

If you are a young person and you are being abused or know someone who is, it's important to speak out - tell someone about it.  Please see the Childline and the Child Protection in Sport Unit's websites for useful advice.
