Indoor Rowing
Indoor rowing is becoming popular as an individual sport, as well as continuing to be a training aid for water-based rowing. Indoor rowing has competitions its own right and is very accessible with machines in gyms, sports centres and rowing clubs across the country
It is a great introduction to rowing as competitors can learn the technique and build fitness before getting used to the water.More than 700 young people rowed at the 2008 Balfour Beatty London Youth Games, a competition which is available to all secondary schools in London.

- Best 8 individual placings will count with Team Relay towards final LYG placings.
- Individual Rowing Times - Year 7: 2 mins Year 8: 3 mins Year 9: 4 mins Year 10: 5 mins Year 11: 6 mins
- 10 team members each row for 1 minutes in the relay

The Amateur Rowing Association (ARA) is the governing body for the sport of rowing (both indoor rowing and rowing on water). The Association is responsible for the training and selection of individual rowers and crews representing Great Britain and for participation in and development of rowing and indoor rowing in England.
