Volunteer at the London youth games

Volunteering with London Youth Games is a fantastic way to contribute to our inspiring sports events for young Londoners. Whether you would like to gain experience in sports events, meet new people or utilise your existing skills, there is a place for you in GamesForce.

WHAT IS GAMESFORCE

GamesForce is London Youth Games’ volunteering programme.

It provides the workforce to:

Enable Events to take place

Your support helps to keep the games running at the highest level and provides LYG with the aid it needs to bring the best events to young Londoners.

Enhances the experience for participants, team managers and families.

Being a part of Gamesforce provides you the opportunity to be involved with memory making experiences for everyone taking part!

GamesForce consists of three types of volunteer groups:

GAMESFORCE

Any individuals over the age of 16 can apply to be a volunteer at our events. Sign Up To our GamesForce platform here. Once registered, you will be able to see opportunities available.

GamesForce Corporate

We have many opportunities for organisations to bring groups of staff to volunteer together. Email gamesforce@londonyouthgames.org if you are interested in getting your organisation involved.

This is for groups of young leaders over the age of 14 from schools, colleges and universities who volunteer to develop skills and gain experience. Email gamesforce@londonyouthgames.org if you are interested in getting your students involved.

What Roles Are Available?

Sports

Help us with registration and results, be an official in any of our 30 sports or assist us with the wider competition.

Events

Take part in medal ceremonies, give out event information or help us organise our hospitality arrangements.

Be a photographer, a videographer, a reporter, or a journalist or help us keep our social media up to date.

TAKE THE Lead

And Become a team leader

Team Leaders play a fundamental role at our hub events and enabling London Youth Games to deliver inspiring events for young people across London. This is a great opportunity to become an extended part of the LYG staff team, manage a group of volunteers and help contribute to delivering a successful Games!
