Schools Shield

Schools Shield

The School Games are open to both primary and secondary schools across London. The School Games events consist of four unique types of competition: intra-school competitions, local inter-school competitions, county finals, and the School Games National Finals. Across our spring and summer competition calendar, secondary schools compete to win the overall Schools Shield, which is awarded to the borough.

A network of School Games Organisers (SGOs) deliver a range of local activity which then feed into the county finals hosted by London Youth Games. In addition to this, some competitions lead to National finals which is supported by National Governing Bodies.
