The Board
London Youth Games Foundation's Board is responsible for the strategy of the charity and ensuring its effective management. The Board consists of independent trustees and borough member representatives. Current London Youth Games Board Members include:
Anthony Kendall, Chairman
Anthony has been involved with the Games since 1986 and served as Chairman since 2007. He has been instrumental in transforming and modernising the Games both in terms of securing funds and introducing a new structure. Anthony is Director of Social Action Radio, a company specialising in social action campaigns on commercial and community radio. He is involved with many charities, including Swimathon, Comic Relief, Robbie William's Give it Some and Help a London Child.
Tony Allen CBE, Vice Chairman
Tony was the organiser of the first Games in 1979 and helped establish LYG Ltd in 1986. He has been Chief Executive of London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Royal County of Berkshire and NHBC. Presently he runs his own Public Sector Management Consultancy as well as chairing a Further Education College and sitting on the Governors' Council of the Assocaition of Colleges.
Patricia Andrews
Pat has been a teacher for 18 years in a number of inner city and culturally diverse schools. She is presently Manager of Enrichment at a London school, working with local communities to identify initiatives that raise the aspirations of their young people. Pat has extensive experience of the Games as a competitor, coach and referee.
Marc Hope
Marc, sits on the Wandsworth Sport Advisory Network Group and Leisure Scrutiny Committee. In his day job as Rights Marketing Director at Fast Track he negotiated the Balfour Beatty and Thames Water LYG sponsorship deals. Marc has a 13 year old son and is passionate about youth sport.
Tina Slater
Tina was the Sports Development & Disability Officer and Borough Team Organiser for Bromley for 13 years and served on the LYG Development & Technical Committee for five years. She is dedicated to promoting sport to people with disabilities. She is Chairwoman of a local Disability Trust Fund.
Richard Sumray
Richard is Chairman of the London 2012 Forum for LOCOG and as Chief Executive of London International Sport started London's Olympic Games bid. He is also Chairman of Haringey Primary Care Trust and Circus Space. Richard, a visiting professor at the University of East London, has been a magistrate for 25 years and was until recently a member of the Metropolitan Police Authority.
