LYG have recently appointed Broadcaster Charlie Webster to the London Youth Games Board.
Charlie brings great media and print broadcasting experience onto the Board. On being appointed Charlie said “I’m delighted to be joining the board of the LYG as a trustee. It was events like LYG that I used to compete in that gave me so much as a kid. Running saved my life in so many ways. I still use the skills I learnt back then in every aspect of what I do. So often it’s about being given a chance to be part of a community, shown that you are worth something and a physical and emotional outlet. Sport is transformational and I have volunteered to help tell those stories and to help LYG have a wider reach and further the impact it has on all young Londoners.”
Andy Dalby-Welsh LYG CEO said: “We are really excited about Charlie. She brings great expertise in the areas of communications and broadcasting. She also has great lived experience of how the power of sport can transform lives.”
