After a hugely successful first year, the Jr. NBA 3v3 tournament is back for 2026 – giving London schools the chance to be part of one of the city’s most exciting school basketball competitions.

Last year’s tournament culminated in an unforgettable finals event at Trafalgar Square, with teams from across London competing on one of the capital’s most iconic stages. With free places available and limited capacity, schools are encouraged to register early to avoid missing out.

What is the Jr. NBA 3v3 tournament 2026?

It’s an exciting free tournament designed to drive participation in schools and celebrate the #1 urban sport in the world of 3v3 basketball.

Teams will compete in borough competitions and regional qualifiers. Winning teams from the secondary school tournament will be invited to the Finals Festival, held in Trafalgar Square in July 2026. Players can also look forward to exciting NBA prizes and a celebration of basketball talent across the city.

Who can take part?

There’s places for teams across these age groups:

Secondary school tournament

  • Girls’ teams and boys’ teams in Years 9–10

  • Mixed wheelchair teams in Years 8–11

Primary school tournament

  • Mixed teams for pupils aged 9–11: NEW FOR 2026

For the first time, a dedicated primary school competition will be introduced for pupils aged 9–11, featuring mixed teams and giving even more young players the chance to get involved, gain confidence and shine on the court.

 

How to enter

The tournament is free to enter and open to London schools only.
Places are allocated in order of registration and places will fill quickly — so early registration is strongly recommended.
