Over 1,800 young athletes from 32 London boroughs are heading to Parliament Hill for the London Youth Games Cross Country, the opening event of the 2025/26 season. Hundreds of schools, clubs and borough teams will come together for one of the most iconic fixtures in the London Youth Games calendar.
Many of Team GB’s biggest names began their journey on this very course – including four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah (Hounslow), 2024 World and Olympic champion Alex Yee (Lewisham) and double Olympic medallist Sam Reardon.
The race schedule for the event on Saturday 8 November 2025 is as follows:
- Race 1 (U15 Girls) – 10:50 | 2K | Bib Colour: Blue
- Race 2 (U15 Boys) – 11:05 | 3K | Bib Colour: Green
- Race 3 (U11 Girls) – 11:25 | 1.4K | Bib Colour: Pink
- Race 4 (U11 Boys) – 11:40 | 1.4K | Bib Colour: White
- Race 5 (U13 Girls) – 11:55 | 2K | Bib Colour: Red
- Race 6 (U13 Boys) – 12:15 | 2K | Bib Colour: Yellow
- Race 7 (U17 Girls) – 12:30 | 3K | Bib Colour: Orange
- Race 8 (U17 Boys) – 13:00 | 4.5K | Bib Colour: Purple
- Team Presentations: 13:45 – Bandstand
Supporters who enjoy watching the LYG Cross Country event can also sign up to run for the London Youth Games Foundation charity at a future Half Marathon. These efforts will raise funds to help London Youth Games continue creating life-changing opportunities for young people across the capital.
