Over 390 young participants are heading to the London Youth Games U14 Basketball, with separate boys and girls competitions. Hundreds of participants borough teams across London will come together to represent their borough and showcase their basketball skills against other London boroughs. An U16 Basketball tournament will also run alongside the event.
Some of GB basketball’s biggest names began their journey at London Youth Games – including Luol Deng (Croydon), Steve Bucknall (Lambeth), Drew Sullivan (Haringey) and Laurent Irish (Newham).

The following age categories are eligible to compete in this event for both genders (boys and girls):

Schools are permitted to enter a minimum of 5 competitors and a maximum of 12 competitors per gender.
Schools are permitted to bring all 12 competitors entered to the event on the day however only 5 will be able to take the court at any one time.
Schools competing in the premier and conference division of the Basketball England National Dynamik Schools competition are ineligible for this competition. The schools listed below are ineligible to compete:

The deadline to submit a team and school representative is;
5pm, Wednesday 13th December 2023.
The dates for the local knockout rounds are as follows:
Round 1: Tuesday 30th January 2024.
Round 2: Tuesday 20th February 2024.
Round 3: Tuesday 12th March 2024.
Final 4’s: Monday 25th March 2024.
A school must be entered by a School Games Organiser, or a nominated team manager in advance of the deadline through completing the JotForm.
