Aiden's Story

“I love to expand my experience in disability coaching. I’ve been developing my knowledge by doing the level 1 athletics coaching qualification as part of the Inclusive Coaches Programme. This has helped me improve my all round coaching skills.”
“In 2018 I was diagnosed with Aspergers. When I started, my biggest barriers stopping me from coaching was my anxiety and confidence. I wanted to get involved in coaching disability sport more.”
“I didn’t want to let Aspergers stop me from fulfilling my coaching dream.”
“So the next year, I started coaching and supporting disability sport in my local area.”
“The Inclusive Coaches programme has helped my confidence through meeting new people and networking. It has also helped me to become more compassionate and a motivating role model for young disabled athletes.”
“I hope to continue and enhance this journey in inclusive sport coaching through workshops and supporting London Youth Games Inclusive and Para inclusive events.
I really hope this experience will help me secure a full time coaching job.”
