LYG SET FOR BIG NIGHT AT AWARDS

Shortlisted and supporting volunteer award

The awards season cranks up this month with London Youth Games featuring heavily at the upcoming London Sport Awards at the Guildhall on 6 December.

Demonstrating our commitment and support of volunteering – not least through the long-established GamesForce programme – LYG is supporting the Volunteer of the Year Award. Warren King, Nahimul Islam and Adaeze Iheanacho are the shortlisted nominees on what promises to be a glittering evening celebrating everything that is good about sport in the capital.

Additionally, LYG is thrilled to be shortlisted for The Young Londoners Award is association with Sported. Power Mobile Gym and Charlton Athletic Community Trust are nominated in a category recognising incredible work supporting under 25s to start and maintain a physical activity habit for life.

Jennie Rivett, London Sport’s Business Development Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to have Sported and London Youth Games demonstrating their incredible support for grassroots physical activity and sport at our London Sport Awards this year.
