LYG33
LYG33 is a youth engagement and leadership programme that empowers young Londoners to influence the future of London Youth Games and sport.
By supplying a platform for young people to display their passions and abilities, this programme encourages and nurtures 14-21 year olds from London to develop themselves and influence the future of London Youth Games and youth sport in London. The programme builds their confidence, leadership skills, and sense of community investment. Through participating in LYG33, young people can build lasting relationships with their peers, coaches, and mentors, and learn valuable life skills that will serve them well in the future.
We deeply value the voices of young people and recognise the importance of including them in internal decision-making processes. By involving young Londoners directly, we ensure that our initiatives remain relevant and accessible. Through LYG33, they consult with senior leaders and actively shape the organisation, with our commitment to embedding their influence at the heart of London Youth Games to drive meaningful change.

Safa
LYG33 Chair
As LYG33 Chairperson, Safa plays a pivotal role in creating life changing opportunities for young Londoners through putting youth voice at the heart of London Youth Games and shaping the LYG33 programme. Safa is also part of the LYG Board as a Young Trustee.
Julia
LYG33 Vice Chair
As LYG33 Vice Chair, Julia works alongside the other Vice Chair to ensure youth engagement is effectively represented and integrated into LYG, shaping the future of the Games. Julia oversees the ‘Elevating Marketing & Comms’ and ‘Diversifying Workforce’ groups, and provides leadership to the LYG33 Leadership Team, supporting progress and ensuring projects run smoothly.
Ealaf
LYG33 Vice Chair
As LYG33 Vice Chair, Ealaf works alongside the other Vice Chair to ensure youth engagement is effectively represented and integrated into LYG, shaping the future of the Games. Ealaf oversees ‘Delivering Sport As Young People Want It’ and ‘Enhancing School Sport’’.groups, and provides leadership to the LYG33 Leadership Team, supporting progress and ensuring projects run smoothly.

LYG33 Senior Marketing Lead
Sophie collaborates with the Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure our marketing, social media, and communications reflect the needs and interests of young people and shaping our marketing strategy.
Leah
LYG33 Marketing Lead
Leah partners with our Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure our marketing, social media and communications are representative of what young people want and need. This will include bringing new ideas for our social media channels, supporting with content creation around LYG33 and inputting into our marketing strategy.
Kya
LYG33 Event Delivery Lead
As Event Delivery Lead, Kya partners with our Senior Delivery Manager and Sports & Events Officer to enhance the experience for participants, spectators, and volunteers at London Youth Games events and gain insight in the planning, organisation and delivery of large-scale events.
Ishan
LYG33 Sports Lead
As Sports Lead, Ishan partners with our Sports Manager to ensure our portfolio of sports is representative of what young people want from a London Youth Games offer.
Micah
LYG33 Workforce Lead
As Workforce Lead, Micah partners with our Youth & Workforce Development Manager to support the development of London Youth Games volunteering and leadership opportunities. This includes our Young Leaders and GamesForce programmes.
Andrea
LYG33 Inclusion Lead
Andrea's role as Inclusion Lead is to work alongside the Disability Activation Manager to advocate for underrepresented groups, gathering insights from young participants to drive meaningful change.
Timi
LYG33 Inclusion Lead
In collaboration with the Disability Activation Manager, Timi champions the voices of historically underrepresented groups. His role is to provide valuable insights into their experiences and help shape future improvements.
Felix
LYG3 Impact Lead
As Impact Lead, Felix partners with our Sports & Workforce Officer to better understand and showcase the impact of London Youth Games and will work to implement a youth voice feedback system for participants at events based on LYG33 recommendations.
Vivaan
LYG33 Business Development Lead
As Business Development Lead, Vivaan partners with our Sports, Business Operations & Events Officer to identify how LYG operations can be developed to better support the young people we serve.

Shanpy is passionate about creating opportunities in sport for young people, striving to make it more accessible and inclusive for the next generation.

Yana loves to spread the joy of sports and wants to encourage more people to get involved with the LYG events and other competitions.

Noah is passionate about all sports, particularly running, badminton and mountain biking, and the opportunities and experiences that this can bring young people.

Jinwoo is studying Sport & Exercise Medical Sciences and is passionate using this to improve the infrastructure of youth sports within his country.

Ananya is a rower who's keen to help sport become an inclusive activity for all those who are disabled.

Aliza loves sports, particularly badminton, and is passionate about helping people reach their full potential.

Farhan is passionate about youth sports. At 14, he founded an organisation with the Haringey Basketball Association, building a strong network with major companies to support his vision.

Izzy is passionate about the benefits of football and is dedicated to increasing girls’ participation in the sport.

Haringey
Hannah is a student from Haringey who studies IT at college. She is really passionate about sports and her favourite sport is football. She also enjoys coding.
Tomas
Newham
Tomas, a Computer Science student, manages operations at Genesis Futsal Club, supporting admin tasks and coaching youth teams. He launched a girls’ team from scratch, boosting female futsal participation and helping players join top London academies. Tomas combines holistic sports programs to foster cognitive, social, and academic growth.
Maria
Westminster
Maria is a STEM student in year 12 who is currently studying 4 A-levels. She loves playing volleyball, running and has recently started trying martial arts! Alongside this, Maria loves reading and listening to music.
Demi
Redbridge
Demi is a resilient persevering and focused Year 12 student in sixth form. He is Creative and Immensely interested in sport and health.
He participates in a lot of sport such as football , running and swimming maintaining and prioritising fitness. Demi loves Film , politics and connecting with new people which is also 2 of the 3 subjects he studies.
Jessica
Sutton
Jessica is passionate about sports and enjoys playing tennis on Tuesdays and Saturdays while also helping coach on Fridays. She plays cricket on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and has worked at The Oval during the summer, an experience she loved. A dedicated Crystal Palace supporter, she also enjoys spending time with friends who share her love for tennis and cricket.
Jemin
Merton
Jemin is a Year 11 student from Merton who attends school in Hammersmith. She is passionate about volunteering and has enjoyed swimming and running since she was young, currently preparing for a sponsored half-marathon. In her free time, she loves reading and playing the cello.
Kether
Havering
Kether is a Year 11 student from Havering studying Religious studies, Mandarin, Latin and art. Away from studies he compete in foundational class motorsport [for a rental karting team] loves reading and aspires to represent the continent of Africa in a sport that has never seen and individual from Africa.
Amir
Waltham Forest
Amir is a passionate, self-driven individual who thrives in challenging situations and is committed to continuous self-improvement, both in sports and beyond. As the motivated Club Captain of the Borough of Waltham Forest Gators swimming club, he leads by example. Outside of his sporting pursuits, Amir enjoys exploring nature and going on walks to stay grounded and inspired.
Alexia
Barking and Dagenham
Alexia, a Year 12 student from Barking & Dagenham, studies psychology, sociology, and Spanish. Passionate about working with people, she is always eager to help others. She enjoys dance, which has strengthened her teamwork skills, and has a lifelong love for animals. In her free time, she likes going on walks and has recently taken up the gym.
Charlotte
Hammersmith and Fulham
Charlotte is a Year 10 student at St Paul's Girls School who swims nationally and is passionate about inspiring young people to discover a love for sport, just as she did. Alongside her rigorous training she loves to pursue her creative side by painting or playing the cello. Charlotte hopes to encourage young athletes to chase their goals and find their confidence through sport.
