Judo is a martial art and Olympic sport with origins in Japan. As kicking and punching are banned, the skill is to throw an opponent to the floor and pin them down. As players become more proficient they progress through the belt system starting with white, yellow and orange. Weight categories mean that anyone can enjoy Judo and compete. Agility and strength are the most important attributes needed to succeed any weight.
Buddhist monks in China, Japan, and Tibet developed jujitsu over 2,000 years as defence against armed marauders.
